Illinois Takes a Proactive Approach to Saving Lives

The State of Illinois is dedicated to reducing the number of opioid overdose-related fatalities through a collaborative effort between the Substance use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) division and the Drug Overdose Prevention Program (DOPP). This initiative empowers individuals to learn how to administer Narcan, an overdose reversal drug, and potentially save lives.

Falcon CPR Training: The First DOPP Certified CPR Training Facility in Illinois

We are proud to announce that Falcon CPR Training is the first CPR training facility in Illinois to receive official DOPP certification. This certification signifies our commitment to preparing individuals for immediate intervention and overdose prevention.

The Importance of Narcan

In an opioid overdose emergency, timely intervention through Narcan administration can mean the difference between life and death. It is always better to have Narcan on hand and not need it than to need it and not have it. The DOPP training course educates participants on how to administer Narcan effectively, reversing the effects of an opioid overdose and preventing potential fatalities. This training offers individuals a second chance to seek the help they need.

Empowering Communities with Free Narcan

As part of our commitment to the community, students who complete this training will receive a FREE box of Narcan containing 2 doses. We believe that every individual should have access to this life-saving medication.
